March 2024 meeting – a brief history of Ealing

At our next meeting on 26th March, we’ll be joined by Dr Jonathan Oates, Ealing Borough Archivist and Local History Librarian.

His talk will delve into the history of Ealing, taking us back to 18th Century life in the ‘Queen of the Suburbs’. He’ll introduce some of the famous faces of the area and buildings you’ll be sure to recognise even to this day.

Visitors

We welcome women who might be interested in seeing what our meetings are like. We have a small charge of £5 for visitors to cover our costs. This is payable by card or cash when you arrive.

Subscriptions 2024-25

Subs are due for 2024-25! We’ve been allowed some control from the National Federation about how much we charge; although the part of your subs that goes to the National and Middlesex Federations is fixed, we can change how much we collect for West Ealing WI. As WEWI is comparatively well off at the moment, the committee have decided to set the subscription at £46.00 – that means we cost you just £4.18 per meeting.
Paying your subs
You can pay your subs by cash, cheque or card at a main meeting (please bring the correct amount if you’re paying in cash). You can also pay by BACS – contact the Treasurer for the account details.
